Washington State University plays Utah in college football November 19th as part of W-S-U Armed Forces Day....and yesterday, the coach and athletic director rewarded some of fairchild's airmen with complimentary tickets.

Paul Wulff and Bill Moos also received a tour of the air base and tried their hands at flying in a stratotanker flight simulator.

They had lunch with WSU alumni in the Warrior Inn dining facility on base and hung out in hummers with the Army National Guard.

Fact: 171 candidates have filed in Spokane County as of 3:00 p.m.

Fact: 65 of those candidates filed in person.

Fact: 62% of candidates filed online from home or some other undisclosed location. If you're a candidate, where did you file from?

Fact: Jill Weiszmann running for Council Position No. 6 in the City of Cheney was the first candidate to file in-person. She filed on June 6th at 8:32 a.m. She is currently running unopposed.

This year the MPA program is celebrating the commencement of a couple of mother/daughter graduates, Karen and Heather Hovatter.

Karen decided to pursue a master’s degree in public administration after she had a successful experience working for the city of Vancouver. Today, Karen enjoys her current position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She plans to work for a few more years and then she would like to apply her skills volunteering for a nonprofit organization. Karen credits Dr. London for introducing her to the world of nonprofit organizations.
