Body found in ditch near Medical Lake | News

A mystery is unfolding in the far west area�of Spokane County near Medical Lake.�

Sheriff's deputies say on Sunday at 11:44 a.m. a passing driver found a body in a ditch near West Hallett Road and South Stangland.

�It's a road traveled by few, and gives access to even fewer homes. From the scene of the crime only two houses are visible on the horizon, and one nearby.

That's why deputies say the man's death is suspicious. They are not calling it a homicide investigation, only a death investigation.

The man has not been identified. The medical examiner will release his name and age once an autopsy is completed this week.
